In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Food and Drink category on the Android platform in Mexico showcased diverse trends across the top 5 applications. Sensor Tower data reveals interesting insights into the performance of these apps.

DiDi Food: Express Delivery saw a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, starting from approximately 76K in late September and peaking at about 105K in early December. Active users also climbed steadily, reaching around 1.47M by mid-December before a slight drop to 1.15M at the end of the month.

Rappi: Food Delivery, Grocery experienced a more stable trend in downloads, with numbers fluctuating between 61K and 87K. Active users showed a consistent pattern, maintaining figures around 1.1M to 1.2M throughout the quarter.

mi OXXO had a notable spike in downloads, reaching up to 91K in late November. However, active users displayed a downward trend, from about 201K in late September to approximately 143K by the end of December.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery maintained a steady download rate, starting at around 55K and peaking at about 76K in late December. Weekly active users showed a slight decline, from around 647K in late September to 550K by the end of December.

McDonald's Offers and Delivery had fluctuating download numbers, with a peak of about 57K in late September and another surge to approximately 47K in late December. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 250K to 275K throughout the quarter.
